Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is a strong working draft. It must be reviewed by a qualified attorney before live launch, especially after business entity, jurisdiction, support contact, analytics tools, and production hosting choices are finalized.
1. Information We Collect
Artist Editor may collect:
- account information such as name, email address, Google account identifier, and login state;
- billing identifiers such as Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, status, plan, renewal status, and payment events;
- usage information such as credit balance, credit ledger entries, analysis-job records, feature usage, app version, device type, error logs, and abuse-prevention signals;
- technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, request timestamps, and security logs;
- project metadata and audio submitted for server analysis when paid features are used.
2. Local Media Design
The initial Artist Editor product is designed so full-resolution source video files and final rendering stay on the customer's computer unless the customer separately chooses an upload or cloud-rendering feature. The online service may receive audio, timing data, structured metadata, account data, billing data, and analysis results. Future optional cloud-rendering or proxy editing features may require uploading additional media, but those features must be separately disclosed before use.
3. How We Use Information
Information may be used to:
- create and secure accounts;
- verify subscriptions and credits;
- provide AI-assisted analysis and account-connected desktop features;
- process payments and billing events through Stripe;
- detect abuse, piracy, account sharing, scraping, or circumvention attempts;
- debug crashes, improve performance, support customers, and enforce Terms.
4. Service Providers
Artist Editor may use providers such as Google for sign-in, Stripe for payments, hosting providers for website/API infrastructure, and future AI or media-analysis providers for product features. Final production subprocessors must be listed before launch.
5. Payment Data
Card details are handled by Stripe. Artist Editor stores billing status and Stripe identifiers needed to verify or manage access; it does not intend to store full card numbers.
6. Security and Access Control
Artist Editor may use authentication, subscription checks, rate limits, logging, entitlement checks, server-side processing, and account actions to protect the software and paid features. No system can guarantee perfect security.
7. Retention
Account, billing, credit, support, and security records may be retained as needed for business, legal, tax, fraud-prevention, security, and dispute purposes. Specific retention windows must be finalized before production launch.
8. Customer Choices
Customers may manage billing through the Stripe customer portal when enabled. Account deletion, export, and privacy request workflows must be finalized before launch according to applicable law.
9. International and Legal Requirements
Privacy rights may vary by location. Business name, legal entity, mailing address, support email, governing jurisdiction, and regional privacy disclosures must be completed before accepting real customers.
